KABUL: The construction work on two development projects valued at 18.5 million Afghanis has been completed and inaugurated in Ghazni and Balkh provinces.
The municipalities of Ghazni and Mazar-e-Sharif said in separate statements today that the projects include the concrete paving of the Khwaja Bahai Jan Agha road in Ghazni, costing 8.5 million Afghanis, and the construction and installation of 24 concrete bridges and 2 kilometers of concrete curbs around flowerbeds in 12 districts of Mazar-e-Sharif, at a cost of 10 million Afghanis.
According to the Ghazni municipality’s statement, the Khwaja Bahai Jan Agha road is located south of Sultan Mahmud Ghazni, measuring 600 meters in length, 6 meters in width, and 550 meters in drainage capacity.
Officials from the Mazar-e-Sharif municipality stated that the installation of the bridges and concrete curbs aims to enhance the city’s development and standards.
The budgets will be funded from the development budgets of the Ghazni and Balkh municipalities.
