80,000 jeribs of land transferred to Ministry of Industry for construction of Industrial Parks in provinces

KABUL: The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, said in a statement today that 80,000 jeribs of land have been transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for the construction of industrial parks in 28 provinces of the country.
According to the statement, the land has been transferred based on the directives of the esteemed Amir-ul-Mu’minin and aims to establish 36 industrial parks. So far, the ministry has distributed 649.5 jeribs of land to 125 companies.
The statement also mentioned that during a special meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, and Industry and Commerce, were tasked with allocating 2,000 jeribs of land for light and primary industries in each direction around Kabul.
Additionally, 10,000 jeribs in Kunduz and 20,000 jeribs each in Nangarhar, Kandahar, and Balkh provinces have been designated for industrial areas.
According to the statement, except for Kabul, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Balkh, and Kunduz provinces, 1,000 jeribs of land will be allocated in other provinces based on need for industrial park construction.
The distribution of land ranging from 10 to 50 jeribs to small industries and enterprises in each province is another decision from the Economic Commission’s meeting.
The transferred lands will be allocated in accordance with the new laws of the Islamic Emirate, environmental protection principles, and each city’s master plan.
This comes as the Islamic Emirate has provided numerous facilities for domestic investors and industrialists.
