‘Enhancing trade between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan benefits both countries,’ Dr. Naeem

KABUL: In a meeting in Kabul, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan discussed various issues with Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Finance and Administration.
The talks focused on the development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, covering issues such as trade, transit, and other key areas.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing mutual understanding.
Dr. Naeem described the relationship between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan as historic, noting that there are currently significant opportunities for economic cooperation.
He stated, “Creating transit facilities and expanding trade can yield mutual benefits for both countries.”
Additionally, the Uzbek ambassador, shared his plans regarding the Trans-Afghan project and thanked Dr. Naeem for his active participation in the Termez meeting.
Uzbekistan is one of the countries maintaining close ties with the Islamic Emirate, with officials frequently making official visits to Afghanistan.
