KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement to Radio Omid today that safe drinking water worth 14 million Afghanis have been provided to 1,500 families in Parwan province.
The Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, inaugurated three water supply networks in the province.
The mentioned water supply networks have been constructed in Charikar, the capital of Parwan, as well as in the Shinwari and Surkh Parsa districts.
The projects include the construction of three reservoirs with capacities ranging from 20 to 30 cubic meters, the installation of 500 water taps, the setup of 45 solar panels, and 15 kilometers of piping.
Additionally, the ministry noted that the implementation of these public welfare projects has created job opportunities for dozens of residents in Parwan.
