Mawlavi Hanafi opens new housing complex for returning refugees in Maidan Wardak

KABUL: The Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, announced the opening of a housing complex in an area of 1,320 jeribs of land for refugees in Maidan Wardak province.
He said in a statement on his X account today that Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, inaugurated the housing complex late on today.
According to the statement, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Qari Bakhtiyar Muaz, the governor of Maidan Wardak, and officials from various provincial departments.
“This housing complex consists of two separate phases and has been designed according to the urban master plan of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, which will be distributed to deserving returnee refugees through a transparent process,” the source stated.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy PM assured that the Islamic Emirate is committed to addressing the challenges faced by returnee refugees and facilitating their needs.
It is noteworthy that similar housing complexes for returning Afghan refugees have been established and delivered in several provinces before this.
