KABUL: In response to the worsening famine caused by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, several European countries and the UK have issued warnings that they will take action against this regime.
Politico, a Western media outlet, reported on Tuesday evening that the French government is working to persuade the UK, Netherlands, and Belgium to recognize a Palestinian state at a UN meeting next month.
An unnamed senior French diplomatic official stated, “The two-state solution has become more essential than ever, but it has been unprecedentedly weakened due to war, the displacement of Palestinians, and violence from extremist settlers.”
Previously, the UK government suspended free trade with Israel due to criticisms of its actions in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Pohlan Wadaful, Germany’s Foreign Minister, described the situation in Gaza as “unacceptable.” He warned that Germany may suspend arms shipments to Israel due to concerns over violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza.
This comes as Israeli military forces recently opened fire on a crowd of hungry Gaza residents who had gathered for food.
