KABUL: Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX and the top advisor of Trum, has officially resigned from his government position.
Musk announced his resignation on X this morning (Thursday, May 28).
“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” he wrote. “The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

Meanwhile, a White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the news of Musk’s resignation to Reuters and the Associated Press.
Musk, the richest man in the world and a key supporter of Trump in his election campaigns, was appointed as the Department of Government Efficiency following Trump’s victory.
His tenure in the U.S. government was marked by significant criticism and protests.
