India donates 11,000 doses of vaccines to Afghanistan

KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health, said in a statement today that India has donated 11,000 doses of vaccines to Afghanistan.
According to the statement, the donation includes 5,500 doses of the influenza vaccine and 5,500 doses of the meningitis vaccine. The total weight of this medical shipment from India is reported to be 291 kilograms.
It appears that this aid package was delivered to officials of the Ministry of Public Health at Kabul International Airport.
Influenza is a severe viral and contagious disease that targets the respiratory system, including the nose, throat, and lungs. Meanwhile, meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, which can be very dangerous and even fatal.
