KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has announced that the U.S. has shared its proposal regarding Iran’s nuclear program with Tehran.
Araghchi made the remarks on his X account on Saturday night, that Badr al-Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, delivered the proposal to Iranian officials during a brief visit to Tehran.
Araghchi noted, “My dear brother al-Busaidi, the esteemed Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, visited Tehran today to present points from a U.S. proposal.”
The senior Iranian diplomatic official emphasized that Tehran will respond to the presented proposal in a manner that is “appropriate, based on principles, national interests, and the rights of the Iranian people.”
Meanwhile, Caroline Levitt, a spokesperson for the White House, stated that the U.S. proposal to Iran is “comprehensive and acceptable.” Levitt emphasized that it would be in Tehran’s interest to accept the proposal presented by Washington.
This proposal comes as U.S. President Donald Trump recently remarked that an agreement between Tehran and Washington regarding its nuclear program is closer than ever.
