Ministry of Justice closes 69 real estate offices in Kabul

KABUL: The Ministry of Justice said in a statement today that it has closed 69 real estate offices in Kabul following an investigation into their activities.
According to a statement from the ministry the monitoring team of the General Coordination Directorate, along with the Directorate of Real Estate and Application Writers, closed these offices due to illegal activities within the past month.
According to the statement, 230 real estate offices were monitored and reviewed in Kabul during this period.
Also, 93 new real estate licenses were issued, and 80 existing licenses were renewed in the same month.
This increase in oversight is part of the Ministry of Justice’s efforts to prevent the exploitation of real estate in providing housing for returning migrants.
