KABUL: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan has criticized Israel’s prevention of foreign ministers from several Arab countries from visiting the West Bank.
According to Reuters Sunday night, bin Farhan made the remarks after a meeting with foreign ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League during a press conference, that Tel Aviv is not seeking peace.
The Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized that Israel’s blocking of senior officials from several Arab nations from visiting Ramallah demonstrates the regime’s “extremism.”
He noted that this approach has led to increased global diplomatic efforts to counter Israel’s “arrogant” behavior.
The diplomatic officials from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and the Arab League were scheduled to meet yesterday in Ramallah, the headquarters of the Palestinian Authority, with President Mahmoud Abbas.
An Israeli official stated that the regime prevented the meeting due to its implications for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
