Mawlavi Hanafi inaugurated migrant settlement in Helmand

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, during a ceremony which was attended by the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing opened the Helmand Migrant Settlement.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, the ministry said the settlement spans 5,000 jeribs and includes 4,260 residential plots.
During the ceremony, the Mawlavi Hanafi criticized the forced expulsion of Afghan migrants from neighboring countries as contrary to all principles. He stated that a plot of land would be allocated to each identified returning migrant family.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani emphasized that the Helmand Migrant Settlement was established in accordance with all relevant principles and standards.
It is noteworthy that similar settlements for returning Afghan migrants from neighboring countries have been established in many other provinces across the country.
