KABUL: As the Israeli regime continues its assaults on Gaza, international media reports indicate that today, aid distribution centers were closed by Israel.
Mirejana Spoljarić, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), described the current situation in Gaza as unacceptable, expressing concern that human dignity and international humanitarian laws are on the verge of collapse.
In an interview with the BBC, Spoljarić stated: “The ongoing situation in Gaza does not align with ethical, legal, and humanitarian standards. States are doing nothing to end the war, resolve the issues of the Palestinians, or release Israeli prisoners.”
The remarks came after 27 Palestinians were killed yesterday (Tuesday) near an aid distribution center due to Israeli military gunfire.
Meanwhile, former U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller acknowledged the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza. In an interview with a British media outlet, he stated: “There is no doubt that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza.”
Previously, several countries, including France, condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Gaza and warned of imposing sanctions against Israel in some instances.
