KABUL: Protests in support of demonstrations in Los Angeles have drawn tens of thousands of participants in Texas, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, and San Francisco, resulting in hundreds of arrests in San Francisco alone.
In response to the escalation of protests, Donald Trump has warned of deploying the National Guard and has stationed over 4,000 troops in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the Governor of California has criticized Trump’s actions and filed a complaint in court, arguing that this could further complicate the situation.
The protests have persisted for four consecutive days in response to police operations targeting undocumented immigrants.
