KABUL: A helicopter crashed in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, resulting in the deaths of six people, including a child, Reuters reported today.
The helicopter, belonging to the private company Ayana Aviation, reportedly went off course due to poor weather conditions and crashed in a remote area called Kedar Gati.
Local officials stated that the helicopter fell into a ravine between 200 and 250 meters deep in the forests of Gorikand, complicating rescue operations.
Reports indicate that rescue teams have reached the site, but the complete destruction of the helicopter will make identifying the bodies difficult.
