BAMYAN: Local officials in Bamyan Province said that nearly 197,352 domestic tourists visited the historical and recreational sites of the province during the recent Eid holidays.
According to a statement from the Bamyan governor’s press office on Sunday, 197,352 tourists entered the province, with 25,691 vehicles recorded at the entrance.
Tourists visited various attractions, including Band-e Amir, the slopes of Shah Foladi, the Qazan Valley, the historic city of Gholghola, the city of Zahak, and the Qarghena-To plains.
In the statement, Governor Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadi highlighted that the significant presence of tourists reflects the security and necessary facilities provided for them.
The press office emphasized that the tourism industry has the full support of the local government.
Local officials said they are committed to expanding facilities for both domestic and foreign visitors to further develop tourism in the province.
Bamyan, located in central Afghanistan, is rich in tourist attractions and historical sites, drawing hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists each summer.
