Over 20 Muslim and Arab countries condemn Israeli attacks on Iran

KABUL: Foreign ministers of 21 Muslim and Arab countries have issued a joint statement condemning the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iran and calling for de-escalation of tensions.

The Anadolu Agency, Turkish media outlet, reported that the statement was issued by Turkey, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Bahrain, Brunei, Chad, Gambia, Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Egypt, and Mauritania.

According to reports, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry was the initiator of this statement.

The foreign ministers described the Israeli attacks on Iran as a “violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.” They emphasized the importance of respecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and principles of good neighborliness.

Additionally, the Afghan government has also condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iranian territory through multiple statements and expressed solidarity with Tehran.
