KABUL: The acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Turkey, Mohammad Zubair Wadan, met with Khurshid Yildirim, the Deputy Minister of Justice of Turkey, to discuss the transfer of Afghan prisoners held in Turkish jails.
The Afghan embassy in Turkey said in a statement on Tuesday that both sides discussed the transfer of Afghan prisoners who are currently imprisoned in Turkey.
The statement did not specify the number of Afghan citizens imprisoned in Turkey.
Previously, through diplomatic efforts, Afghan citizens have been released or transferred from prisons in various countries, including Pakistan, Iran, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and several others.
