Grossi: No evidence of Iran’s efforts to build nuclear weapons

KABUL: Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), recently stated that there is no evidence to support claims of organized Iranian efforts to develop nuclear weapons.
In an interview with CNN, said on Tuesday night that the notion of Iran attempting to create nuclear weapons remains speculative.
He also confirmed that Israeli attacks have completely destroyed ground facilities at the Natanz site in Iran, which is involved in uranium enrichment.
According to Grossi, three to four buildings and a laboratory at Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities in Isfahan were targeted.
However, he noted that the Fordow nuclear facility, located underground, has not sustained any damage. While Grossi acknowledged that Iran’s uranium enrichment capacity has been curtailed, he added that it has not been entirely eliminated.
The remarks come amid ongoing Israeli attacks on Iran, justified by claims that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons development.
