Two Israeli F-35 Fighter Jets downed, and five suspects arrested for espionage in Iran

KABUL: Iranian state media have reported that the country’s air defense systems have downed two Israeli F-35 fighter jets.

According to IRNA, the commander of the Varamin district, part of the Tehran area, confirmed the crash of the two jets in the Javadabad area of the capital.

Meanwhile, Tasnim, a state news agency, has reported the arrest of five individuals on suspicion of espionage for the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

Tasnim stated that these five “traitors” were identified and detained in Khorramabad, Borujerd, and Dorud. Khorramabad and Borujerd are located in the western province of Lorestan, Iran.

Following the exposure of Mossad’s infiltration in Iran, efforts by Basij forces to identify and capture espionage agents in the country have intensified.
