KABUL: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that the country has accepted a ceasefire proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump, following the achievement of its military objectives, Al Jazeera reported.
The remarks come amid heightened violence between Iran and Israel, with the region witnessing extensive missile and airstrikes.
Meanwhile, a number of media outlets have reported that Iran’s National Security Council has reached an agreement for a ceasefire with Israel.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that as of today, a ceasefire between Israel and Iran is “enforceable,” urging both sides not to violate the ceasefire.
