KABUL: Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s Defense Minister, has traveled to China just two days after a ceasefire was established between Israel and Iran.
Iranian media said on Wednesday night, that the minister is attending a meeting of defense ministers from member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The state news agency IRNA stated that Nasirzadeh is expected to meet with several defense ministers from SCO member countries on the sidelines of the meeting.
The defense ministers’ meeting is taking place today (Thursday) in the city of Qingdao, China.
This meeting comes at a time when Iran has recently emerged from a severe 12-day conflict with Israel.
