HERAT: The provincial officials of Herat said that more than 30,000 Afghan migrants have returned to the province in a single day.
Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, the head of the Information and Culture Department in Herat, confirmed the return of this number of migrants from Iran.
He stated that the commission for addressing the issues of migrants in Herat is fully prepared to welcome them.
He emphasized that essential services, including food and water, are part of this readiness.
According to him, the return process of Afghan migrants from Iran to Herat continues extensively.
It is expected that after initial assessments, the returning migrants will be transported to their main areas through the transport committee of the commission for addressing the issues of migrants.
Recently, local officials in Herat also said that efforts are underway to provide thousands of job opportunities for returning migrants.
