KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi and his accompanying delegation visited Nimruz to assess the situation of Afghan migrants who have been returned from Iran.
According to Radio Omid correspondent on Monday, Hanafi-led delegation will visit the province’s border crossing to closely evaluate the migrants’ living conditions, identify urgent humanitarian needs, and ensure that returning citizens receive appropriate assistance.
The deportation and return of Afghan migrants from Iran have seen a sharp and unprecedented rise in recent days, requiring urgent measures and joint cooperation of the government and the involved organizations, the statement said.
A few days ago, Mawlavi Hanafi and his accompanying delegation visited the Islam Qala ground port to assess the situation of the returning refugees from Iran.
The Iranian government has accelerated the forced deportation of Afghan nationals in this hot weather, deporting nearly 35,000 Afghan refugees daily.
