Water supply projects worth nearly 40 million Afghanis to be built in Maidan Wardak

KABUL: Work on a number of water supply projects costing approximately 39 million Afghanis have been kicked off in Maidan Wardak province, the Information and Culture Department of the province said in a statement this morning.
According to the statement, the projects include the construction of four water supply networks in four villages of the Chak District, the repair of 67 water wells in several villages, and the provision of drinking water in seven schools in the Chak District.
The funding for these projects is being provided by a charitable organization.
Upon completion, the projects will provide access to safe drinking water for hundreds of families and students.
Just two days ago, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development announced the inauguration of two water supply networks costing over 12 million Afghanis in Sar-e-Pul and Herat.
