KABUL: Foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have once again reaffirmed their commitment to assisting the people of Afghanistan in achieving lasting peace and stability.
This was stated in a final declaration following the meeting of CSTO foreign ministers, issued on Monday night.
In the statement regarding the “UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals (CDGS)” for Central Asia and Afghanistan, the members reiterated their commitment to support Afghanistan.
They expressed their readiness to participate in international efforts aimed at the development of Afghanistan.
The statement emphasized: “We reaffirm our intention to support Afghanistan in becoming a peaceful and stable country and declare our readiness to engage in international efforts for the development of this country under the central coordinating role of the United Nations.”
The CSTO foreign ministers also called for an increase in international humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
The meeting of CSTO foreign ministers was hosted by Kyrgyzstan.
