KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, leading a high-ranking delegation left for Baku this morning at the official invitation of the Azerbaijani government, his office said in a statement today.
The purpose of Mullah Baradar Akhund’s visit to Azerbaijan is to participate in the “17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).”
According to the statement, in addition to participating and speaking at the summit, he is expected to meet with several Azerbaijani officials to discuss enhancing bilateral relations in various sectors.
The 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is scheduled to take place on July 3 to 4 in Azerbaijan.
