KABUL: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, has arrived in Poyuzli, Azerbaijan, as part of his visit to the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s office said in a statement today that the purpose of this visit is to participate in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Upon arrival, Mullah Baradar and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Azerbaijani officials.
The 17th ECO summit is set to take place today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday) in Azerbaijan’s Poyuzli.
Afghanistan is a permanent member of the ECO, which serves as a regional cooperation organization.
