KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said in a statement that Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Dmitry Zhirinov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, here in his office.
According to the statement, during the meeting, the Russian ambassador officially announced Moscow’s decision to recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The Russian ambassador described this decision as a historic step towards strengthening relations between Afghanistan and Russia.
Additionally, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi welcomed Russia’s decision Federation, referring to it as a new phase of positive relations, mutual respect, and constructive interaction.
He noted that this realistic decision would be regarded as a significant development in the history of relations between the two countries.
