Police arrest three people with 44 kilograms of opium in Baghlan

PUL-E-KHUMRI: The Baghlan Police Command press office said in a statement that three individuals along with 44 kilograms of opium have been arrested in the province.

Mullah Mohammad Nabi Kamran, the head of the Drug Control Department of the Baghlan Police Command, said that the individuals have been arrested during the police forces operation while transferring of the drug shipment from the Jolga district of the province.

He emphasized that the their cases will be sent to the relevant authorities after necessary investigations.

Kamran also reiterated the ongoing efforts of the Baghlan Police in combating drug trafficking.

This is the third drug shipment seized in less than a week in northern provinces of the country.
