KABUL: International media, citing the Israeli military, report that at least three ports and an electricity generation plant in Yemen have been targeted in airstrikes.
According to Reuters, the Israeli military announced these attacks early today that the targeted sites include the ports of Al Hudaydah, Ras Isa, and Salif, as well as the Ras Qentib power plant.
The Israeli military stated that the airstrikes were a response to ongoing missile attacks by Houthi forces from Yemen into Israel.
As of now, there are no reports on the extent of damage or casualties resulting from the attacks.
Meanwhile, following these strikes, the Israeli military reported the firing of two missiles from Yemen towards Israel.
Israel’s air defense system is actively working to intercept and destroy the missiles launched by Houthi forces.
