KABUL: Mufti Mohammad Rahman, the Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kazakhstan, has met with Yerkin Tokumov, the special representative of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan.
The Afghan Embassy in Astana said today that the Acting Ambassador highlighted the recognition of the Islamic Emirate by Russia and expressed hope that the Kazakh government would take similar steps.
The statement noted that Mohammad Rahman provided comprehensive information on the Islamic Emirate’s foreign policy, investment opportunities in Afghanistan, the situation of refugees, the recent flooding in the country, and job opportunities.
Yerkin Tokumov reaffirmed his country’s commitment to expanding bilateral relations with the Islamic Emirate.
He assured that Astana would cooperate with Kabul in the political, economic, and cultural sectors.
Following the recognition of the Islamic Emirate by Russia, there is growing optimism regarding the continuation of this trend from regional countries.
