Afghanistan and Kazakhstan discuss expansion of transport cooperation and direct flights

KABUL: Mullah Abdul Salam Haidari, the Deputy Minister of Ground Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, met with Maksat Kaliakparov, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, in Kabul to discuss expanding transport cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in detailed discussions on international transport agreements, the further development of transit cooperation, and the initiation of direct flights between Kabul and Astana.

Haidari emphasized that the development of transport relations with Kazakhstan is of significant importance to Afghanistan’s strategy for regional and international cooperation.

He expressed hope that the implementation of these agreements would bring noticeable changes in trade and transit exchanges between the two countries and the broader region.

Maksat Kaliakparov reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to expanding transport relations with Afghanistan and indicated that his country is ready to strengthen comprehensive cooperation.
