IEA allocates 1.5 billion Afghanis for Afghan returnees

KABUL: Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, during his visit to Islam Qala border crossing announced the allocation of 1.5 billion Afghanis for assisting Afghan returnees.
Speaking to reporters, he emphasized that the budget of 1.5 billion Afghanis has been specifically designated for the support and services for Afghan migrants returning to the country.
He noted that the situation at the Islam Qala border crossing is under control, and the process of providing services to returnees is ongoing.
Fitrat praised the efforts of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, the Department of Refugees in Herat, charitable foundations, and grassroots community support for returnees.
Officials from the service committee for migrants at the Islam Qala border also assured that they are consistently providing three times meal and water to returnees coming from Iran.
This comes at a time when the Azizi Foundation has recently announced the allocation of 1 billion Afghanis to address the issues faced by migrants.
