KABUL: As a result of the Armed individual’s attack and clash with the Iranian forces, three Iranian police and an armed attacker were killed, and another attacker was wounded, state-run ISNA news agency reported on Friday night.
According to the agency, the assailants who managed to escape after the attack are currently are under prosecute.
The state media referred to the attackers as a “terrorist group” but did not disclose their identities.
Social media users have noted that the clash occurred on Friday afternoon and lasted for two hours.
Chabahar is a district in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province, which hosts a significant commercial port for Afghanistan and has previously experienced similar attacks.
