Ghulam Khan crossing in Khost reopened for two weeks

KABUL: Officials of the General Directorate of Border Police of the Ministry of Interior Affairs have announced that the Ghulam Khan crossing has been reopened for the movement of commercial convoys by Pakistani military forces.

Abidullah Aqaab Farooqi, spokesperson for the General Directorate of Border Police, said today on his X account today that the Ghulam Khan crossing, located along the Durand Line in Khost province, is open for freight vehicles for just two weeks.

No further details were provided by the spokesperson regarding this matter.

The Ghulam Khan crossing had previously been closed by Pakistani forces, who stated at the time that commercial convoys could seek alternative routes for entry and exit to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Ghulam Khan is one of the crossings along the Durand Line that connects Afghanistan to North Waziristan.
