Ahmad al-Sharaa accuses Israel of inciting discord in Syria

KABUL: Following clashes and heavy airstrikes on Damascus, Ahmad al-Sharaa, the head of the Syrian Transitional Government, has accused Israel of creating discord in the country.

Speaking in a television on Thursday morning he emphasized that they are not afraid of war, but the interests of the Syrian people take precedence over the destruction of the country.

He stated, “We are not among those who fear war. We have dedicated our lives to confronting challenges and defending our people, yet we prioritize the interests of Syrians over chaos and destruction.”

Al-Sharaa also highlighted the protection of the Druze minority as one of the priorities of the Syrian Transitional Government.

He warned that whenever the dignity of Syrian citizens is threatened, they are prepared for war.

This comes as Israeli forces conducted a series of airstrikes around the presidential building in Syria, including facilities related to the Ministry of Defense, under the pretext of supporting the Druze minority.

These attacks have sparked widespread reactions.
