KABUL: The acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a trilateral political consultation meeting with the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan before the signing of the feasibility agreement for the AfghanTrans railway.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the three countries emphasized strong ties, regional stability, economic connectivity, and the development of joint trade during the meeting.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi stated that the Afghan-Trans project not only strengthens regional connectivity but also serves the mutual interests of all three countries, said the statement.
Also, the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan expressed that their governments fully support projects aimed at achieving lasting stability, economic advancement, and regional connectivity in Afghanistan, wishing for Afghanistan to play a central role as a connecting country in the region.
The statement also highlighted that the continuation of trilateral political consultations among the three countries was emphasized during this meeting.
