KABUL: Fazl Mohammad Saber, the Afghan Ambassador to Ashgabat, met with Ahmed Qurbanov, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, to discuss various matters of mutual interest.
The Afghan Embassy in Ashgabat said in a statement on Friday night that the two officials discussed political and economic cooperation, particularly focusing on projects such as TAPI, TAP, and railway initiatives.
According to the statement, trade issues and the facilitation of services for Afghan citizens residing in Turkmenistan were also key topics of discussion.
The statement mentioned that both sides assessed the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan as valuable and emphasized the need to strengthen them.
Following the recognition of the Islamic Emirate by Russia, efforts to pursue major regional economic projects involving Afghanistan have intensified.
