Afghanistan’s trade expanded to 100 countries, says Azizi

KABUL: Nooruddin Azizi, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, announced that Afghanistan’s trade has expanded to 100 countries worldwide.

According to a Radio Omid correspondent, he made the remarks today during the government accountability program to the nation at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).

Azizi noted that the return of 2,000 investors through Kabul International Airport demonstrates confidence and strengthens Afghanistan’s economic environment.

He also highlighted the approval of the Industrial Areas Law and the procedural framework for facilitating industrialists as significant achievements of the Ministry in the past year.

Additionally, the implementation of 85 development projects across 28 provinces was mentioned as another accomplishment of the ministry over the last year.

Azizi emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has provided job opportunities for 142,000 individuals in the past year.

The reporting process on the activities of various ministries began last week, with officials expected to present their annual activities and answer questions from journalists each day.
