Export of Kandahar’s cumin increases

KANDAHAR: Kandahar’s Local officials said that cumin worth $30 million exported last year.

Officials of the Kandahar Chamber of Commerce told Radio Omid that the majority of these exports went to India, and they anticipate further increases in cumin exports this year.

According to them, 6,321 tons of cumin were exported from Kandahar last year.

Additionally, a number of cumin traders in interviews with Radio Omid stated that the price of black cumin exported to India is higher than that of white cumin, and they expect exports to exceed last year’s figures this year.

It is noteworthy that Kandahar cumin is also exported to other countries, including Pakistan, Iran, and Central Asian nations such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
