KABUL: The acting Minister of Interior Affairs, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, and his accompanying delegation, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
In the meeting, Khalifa Haqqani described such discussions as influential in strengthening brotherhood and unity among Muslim nations, stating that Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia have deep and long-standing relations.
Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani emphasized the importance of further developing the ties between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa cited the strengthening of scholarly relations between the two countries as the reason for their visit to Afghanistan, aiming to enhance academic connections between Afghanistan and the broader Islamic world through their organization.
He expressed pride in meeting with the officials of the Islamic Emirate in the context of peace in Afghanistan.
