Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqi highlights Saudi Arabia’s role in uniting Islamic countries

KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the significant role of Saudi Arabia in fostering closer ties among Islamic nations during a meeting with Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the head of the Muslim World League.

According to a statement from the ministry, in the meeting, Minister Muttaqi underscored Afghanistan’s strong relations with Islamic countries.

The statement noted that the Foreign Minister recognized the policy of general amnesty initiated by Amir al-Mu’minin, which has contributed to security, stability, and reforms in religious and spiritual matters, as major achievements of the Islamic Emirate.

Meanwhile, Al-Issa praised the leader of the Islamic Emirate’s amnesty decree, considering it a blessing from the sacred religion of Islam.

He regarded Afghanistan’s position among Islamic countries as unique and highlighted the importance of the Islamic Emirate’s participation in meetings and its relations with the Muslim World League.

The head of the Muslim World League arrived in Kabul on Monday leading a delegation.
