Nearly one million operational activities conducted by Ministry of National Defense in past year, Fitrat

KABUL: Qari Mohammad Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of National Defense, announced that 64,000 operational activities have been carried out by the personnel of this ministry across the country in the past one year.

He made the remarks at a press conference today at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), where he shared the achievements of the government institutions in Kabul.

He added that as a result of the activities, hundreds of vehicles, light and heavy weapons, explosive materials, unexploded ordnance, mines, communication devices, cameras, motorcycles, narcotics, and alcoholic beverages have been seized.

According to him, over the past year, 10,000 cadets have received military and professional training at the Abdullah bin Masoud Training Center, while another 23,000 personnel have been trained at various educational centers in several provinces.

He also highlighted that the air force has conducted 6,383 operational and training missions over the past year.

Additionally, 1,244 air forces have graduated from training courses, and six helicopters have been repaired at the general command of the air force.

In the past year, personnel from the engineering sections of the Ministry of National Defense have repaired and made operational 41,684 various types of vehicles.

Furthermore, Qari Fitrat emphasized that, in addition to the mentioned vehicles, 6,480 light and heavy weapons and 724 communication devices have also been repaired in the ministry’s workshops over the past year.
