KABUL: The Technical Committee of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Emirate, held meeting today at the Arg’s Marble Palace.
According to a statement from the Deputy PM’s office, after comprehensive discussions aligned with the meeting’s agenda, the Fisheries Sector Development Plan was deemed approved, taking into account the views of the Ministry of Water and Energy.
The statement said that 7,700 fish farming facilities will be established across the country, which will meet 90% of the national demand for fish meat and create employment opportunities for 300,000 citizens, both directly and indirectly.
It was noted that officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock have been instructed to incorporate the feedback from the Ministry of Water and Energy and present the finalized version to the upcoming technical committee meeting.
