KABUL: Ukrainian officials have announced ongoing discussions with EU member states regarding the acquisition of “billions of dollars” for their defense spending.
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov stated that the country currently requires $120 billion to meet its defense expenses.
According to Reuters, Ukrainian officials have indicated that agreements worth nearly $60 billion have been reached with EU member countries so far.
The remarks come amid an escalation in the conflict with Russia, with reports of unprecedented attacks from both sides.
It is important to note that the war between Russia and Ukraine has resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties and significant financial losses for both countries.
