KABUL: The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, will travel to Islamabad in the near future.
Shafqat Ali Khan, the ministry’s spokesperson, mentioned in a press conference yesterday that discussions between the two countries are ongoing, and the exact date of the visit has not yet been finalized.
When asked whether the issue of recognizing the Islamic Emirate will be raised during this trip, he replied, “This topic is currently only speculative.”
Sparking at a press conference during the government accountability program to the nation, he said that he would be making an official visit to the country.
