KABUL: Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, recently stated that the situation in the Gaza Strip is “dire and distressing.”
Starmer made the remarks on Saturday night on his X account, urging Israel to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza to address the widespread hunger occurring in the region.
He wrote that efforts have also been accelerated to transfer children in urgent need of medical assistance to the UK for treatment.
Starmer emphasized that the UK is collaborating with Jordan to facilitate the transfer and delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
He added that London is determined to find a way to achieve peace in Gaza.
Previously, China had sent humanitarian aid to Palestinians trapped in famine and hunger in Gaza through aerial drops.
