KABUL: Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, stated after a phone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi that we cannot accept that the people of Gaza, especially children, are dying from hunger.
In a post on his X account, he said this morning that the ongoing blockage of humanitarian aid, the escalation of Israeli intervention, and the threat of famine and forced displacement are increasing the suffering of the people in Gaza.
He described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as unacceptable.
Macron wrote:’ The conference scheduled for July 28 and 29 in New York should bring renewed momentum toward a fair and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on a two-state solution, which is the only way to ensure peace and security for all in the region.”
This French official reiterated that Palestine is set to be recognized by Paris at the United Nations in September.
It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, the intensification of the economic blockade of the Gaza Strip, the spread of famine due to Israeli actions, and the deaths of civilians from severe hunger have heightened concerns about a humanitarian disaster in the area.
