Over 1,600 Afghan Families Returned to the Country Yesterday

KABUL: The Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues said that 1,605 families, totaling 11,605 members, were forcibly returned yesterday to the country from various borders, and essential services were provided to them.
According to the commission, among these families, 1,362 returned from Islam Qala, 161 from the Silk Road (Abreshem Bridge), 22 from Spin Boldak, 59 from Torkham, and 1 from Angoor Ada.
Additionally, 379 families (1,811 individuals) were transferred to various provinces, 1,417 families received cash assistance, and 313 SIM cards were distributed.
This comes at a time when the forced expulsions of Afghan refugees from Iran and Pakistan have increased, with hundreds of families returning to the country daily.
